Your baby's cough is not caused by teething. The most likely cause of his/her cough is a virus infection especially the RSV virus which is very prevalent at this time of the year. It is important to keep your baby's nose clear by using infant saline nose drops at least twice a day. Cough mixtiures are not recommended for babies. There is no need for concern as long as your baby can feed normally and is able to sleep normally. If you notice that you baby is breathing rapidly or you can hear a wheeze on his/her chest then you should take your baby to be seen by a doctor.
