Q.

6 month old baby girl bleeding from nipple

My daughter's 6 months old and she
s been b;leeding from the righ nipple for the last two weeks. Her doctor said it's no cause for alarm and prescribed bactroban to be applied 3 times a day saying it's just some injury maybe sustained while playing. but the bleeding is still there.

I'm quite alarmed and scared - could it be breast cancer or something - she doesn't seem to be feeling any pain or discomfort when you touch or press the nipple area and it's not swollen.

please help!

The doctor who evaluated the child is in the best position to give an opinion. If the bleeding persists you need to see him again.
