Q.

5 months old-Very High Temperature

Last night my daughter's body was very hot, more specially her forehead and the middle of her head could not jump. I gave her panado but could not cool up. Earlier this morning, I ask her nanny to take her to clinic, but now she phoned to say the baby is doing well and she cannot take her to clinic, she even put her close to the phone and I could hear the noise she was making.

Some people say is - because I cried a lot and I breastfeed.

Do you think can it be the cause?

Please advise

I cannot speculate on the exact cause, but any child with a persistent high fever should be evaluated.

Hi guys

Her nanny phoned me to say the temperature has cooled down, and she's now playing, but she can't sleep down. I don't know if she's gonna sleep tonight.
But anyway thank you guys, will take her to a doctor tomorrow.

If you cry a lot, it is not going to cause your baby to get a temperature through your breast milk.

A temperature is from an infection or illness.

Panado will bring a temperature down, as will sponging baby with tepid water, and keeping her cool (in a nappy only, with a fan in the room etc).

I would still take the baby to the doctor or the clinic, as you haven't treated what caused the temperature in the first place.
