What can I do to have my baby enjoy food? She stopped breastfeeding just after she turned 4 months, she doesn't want to bottlefeed either and she cries a lot when its feeding time whether its a cereal, vegies or fruit or fruit and yoghurt, please help I am so frustrated. Lastly is there anything I can do to get my baby to breastfeed again?

The most important thing is that your baby is not ill or unwell and that she continues to grow and gain weight as expected. The introduction of solids is often a difficult process at this age. You do not have to feel guilty or that the fault is with you. Healthy children will eat and drink when required, if the food and milk is available.

Yes, you can get your baby breastfeeding again.

Contact a lactation consultant who can help you with it. If you contact Tina Otte's family and child centre, they can put you in touch with an excellent lady called Brenda.

In the meantime, put your baby to the breast as often as possible and try expressing (preferably with an electric pump) for about 5 minutes every couple of hours.

Once you've got your baby breast feeding again, you could stop offering solids and try again in a few weeks, perhaps your baby isn't ready for solids.
