Q.

4year old wetting himself daily

my son of 4 and a half has started wetting his pants again, sometimes making a poo as well. we moved to JHB almost 2 years and although there have been changes, he was at a school for the whole of last year and has now moved to a new school but this has been happening on and off for the last 2 years. Thought it was the change but it comes and goes - where can I go to get advice - tried asking him to go often, even tried punishing him and the star system but nothing is helping, it's getting worse. I feel sorry for him as it must be horrible. Want to help but no idea how??

This is always difficult to deal with at this age [still very young]. The move was quite a long time ago so is unlikely to be an issue here.It is no use punishing him as this will only aggravate the problem. There may be a psychological cause here but the best way to go would be to first see your paediatrician and see what is recommended when you are there.
