4 month old feeding

How do I get my 4 month old to eat more during the day?? He was born a month early and weighed 2.4 at birth. He now weighs 6.5. I breastfeed him until 3 months and then put him on Nan. He' s putting on weight so I know that he' s doing well on it etc.. The problem is that he only drinks about 100ml at a time about 4 times a day. Then he still wakes up 4 times a night and drinks 100 ml each time! I' ve tried giving him some rice cereal in the evening but he still wakes frequently for a bottle. I' ve heard Lactogen is more filling but I' m not sure it' s going to solve the problem. I feel I need to get him to drink more than 100ml at a time during the day but he makes it very clear that he' s had enough so what do I do??

As you correctly point out your baby is thriving. His weight is only slightly below the average for his age, but his birth weight was below the average as well. He is taking about 800ml of formula per day, which is only very slightly below his recommended daily intake, but he is satisfied at this level. He does not seem to be ready for solids just yet and there is no need to try and force this on to him.Have patience and there is no need fo concern at this stage.
