Q.

3yr old - pee problems

My 3yr old keeps her pee in very long. When she wakes up in the morning she does not go and pee immediately, only after a hour or two after she has woken does she go to the toilet.
She sometimes complain that it burns and her vagina is red.
Please advise

It may be that she has a urinary tract or bladder infection which does cause her to have burning on passing urine. Please have her urine tested by a doctor or nurse to make sure that it is clear. If it is then she has probably just got into this habit. The only thing to do is to take her to the toilet first thing after she wakes up in the morning and encourage her to pass urine.
