3yr old - Bladder or stress?

Dear Prof

My 3 yr old has been potty trained for almost a year now and has never had any accidents during the day and only once during the night ages ago. Two nights ago he had to go to the bathroom twice during the night (which he never does) and in the morning he wet his clothes after getting dressed. He wasn''t even concerned about it, just told me he had to change his pants. Then again last night before bedtime. I''m not sure what''s up. He is on holiday at the moment and I would think it is stressfree. Could he maybe have a bladder infection? Because he is also going much more than usual He is touching his penis often. Although if I ask whether it hurts, he says no. His urine is also quite white and is only yellow after taking vites. Obv I only get to see it early morning and evenings.
We don''t have any diabetics in the family.

You have set your question out very well. It is unusual that your son should suddenly start needing to pass urine more often and to start wetting himself when he has already been potty trained. It would be best to ask your doctor to see your son and make sure that he has not developed a urinary sysyem infection.
