Q.

3 yr old speech eye and speech problem

my 3 yr old have a problem with her left eye. whenever she eats something her left eye would go bigger with rythmatic movement the same as the mouth. Is it possible that there is a link between her mouth and her eye. she is also very slow in her speech, Whereas she cannot say more than two word at a time and she is 3 and half yrs already.

Is this something to be concern about?

Thank you in anticipation

Your daughter should certainly be speaking a lot better than she does at her age.I am also concerned about her eye movements which you describe associated with chewing. There can be a link in certain neurological conditions between eye and mouth movement.I would like your little girl to be seen by a paediatric neurologist. There are specialists in all the main centres.

your child may have moebius syndrome....i can explain what it is but you will get more detailed information reading about it on google.....go look it up and see if her symptoms are the same....if so maybe a trip to your pediatrician might be of help. Good luck . I wish her well. My email is aamirliaquat@aol.com if you need any help.
