27month old was constipated and holding in poops now

My 27 month old little girl started potty traing about 10days ago. No problem with peeing on toilet. Also came twice to poop on toilet an after a accident in her pantie on the Sunday, she refuses to poop. Took her to my gp who said she was constipated and now is trying to hold the poops in because it was too painful. She also refuses to do it in the nappy now. She screams when she passes a stool and you can see she is hurting so badly - poop is quit hard and big. Giving her Laxette twice a day and used 1 suppositry on Friday. I''m trying to give her all the right food, because I also suffered from constipation and know how sore it can be if there is a tear " there" . PLEASE help! Read about " Encopresis"  and is desperate before it becomes a BIG problem!

This is not encopresis but a constipation problem. You need to help your daughter for a short while. Use a glycerine suppository once daily for two days. Also start her on a 2 week stool softener such as Duphalac liquid 5ml twice daily. Make sure that she eats plenty of the wonderful summer fruit now available and drinks as much water as she wants and dilute fruit juice once a day. No cheese!
