Q.

21month not using his left side properly

Hi
My son is rather tall and big boned for his age looks like a 3 year old he only started walking at 16.5mnths and had a lazy left foot. I checked it out at orthopedic and his growth was fine nothing wrong with his hip. But now his foot is starting to look better in terms of him using it but alott of my family members seem to think he is a bit lazy to use the left side of his body. He does everything with is right side. I just want to know if I should have it looked at with a occupational therapist or my pead. Or is this normal cause his a very strong healthy boy.
Thanks

Paediatrician

This is very common and seems to be perfectly normal. He also seems to be improving and is otherwise well.It does not seem necessary to take him to be seen by anyone at this stage.See how he progresses and if you remain concerned ask your paediatrician to see him.
