2 yr and 8mnths old stuttering

my baby boy his 2 year and 8mnths his stuttering ive notice it during december holidays as i was spending lot of time with him.because his playing with our neigbours child and shes 4 years and stuttering i thougt he want to speak like her but till now he hasnt worrie is when he was born he never cry his weight was 2.5kg and his apgar was 1-5 that is why sometimes when his doing strange things i worry too much,they keeping saying there is nothing wrong because at pre school he play,sing write and the say his clever when they compare him with same kids that are same age as him and like to play with older kids.he is an active should i be worried or he is normal.his weight in december was 11.5kg when i took him to the clinic for 2 year 6mnths please advice doc.thanks

You are welcome.Stuttering in children of this age is very common and the good news is that with most children stuttering does not last long.The cause for stuttering in this age group is usually unknown.Your little boy seems to be doing well and is clever at pre-school.It will help him if you get him blow bubbles as often as possible,but at least 3 times a week.If he is still stuttering at 3 years he should be seen by a speech therapist.
