2 YEAR OLD SON

DEAR PROF PLEASE ADVISE MY SON IS 2 YEARS OLD HE SLEEPS IN HIS COT IN OUR ROOM HOWEVER HE WAKES ABOUT ABOUT 5 TIMES A NIGHT AND THEN HE WANTS HIS BOTTLE NOT TO DRINK JUST IN HIS MOUTH WHILE HE LAYS LIKE THAT THE MILK DRIPS HIS PILLOW WET AND WHEN I WANT TO TAKE THE BOTTLE HE CRIES HIS TEETH HAS STARTED TO DECAY I DONT KNOW IF I CAN STILL SAVE THE OTHERS THE 2 INFRONT ARE ROTTEN
HE ALSO WANTS TO THEN SLEEP IN MY BED AND OTHER TIMES I HAVE NOTICED NOW WHEN HE IS FALLING OFF TO SLEEP HE OCCASSIONALLY PULLS HIMSELF STIFF OR KINDA JIRKS WHY CAN THIS BE THANKS

The jerking you describe is probably normal at your son's age. The rest of his behaviour is a combination of habit and attention seeking.He knows that you are near to him at night and his plan is to get into your bed. Until you put him in your bed he is not happy. Giving him all the bottles has already caused tooth decay which is unusual-are you putting sugar in his milk? To stop this behaviour you have only one option.He should be moved to his own room and after his bottle when he goes to bed at night you should not give him any more bottles. If he starts to cry and perform you will need to apply the controlled crying method otherwise this problem is going to last for a very long time. Look up controlled crying on the internet.
