2 Year old having problems sleeping

My daughter is almost 3 and maybe sleeps through 2 out of 7 nights. I am divorced now for a year and a half and she is between 2 households. GP" s recommended Stopayne, but I can''t keep on giving this to her. She is a very lively child, but surely she must be sleeping through by now.

You should not be giving Stopayne to your little daughter. It contains codeine and is constipating and can cause dependency. In any case it is not to be used as a sedative. It is worthwhile trying her on Rescue drops at night. If she does not respond you can try Melatonin which is a natural hormone. The dose is 3mg about an hour before bedtime.

She does not respond to Rescue or any other natural sleeping aids. I am honestly at my wits end. I have even doubled the dose of recommende Rescue and she still runs around like it''s party time!! She has been in a set routine from birth so I don''t know how she could sleep through as a baby and not now.
