Q.

2 MONTH OLD BABY, WHATS HAPPENING?

HI THERE DOC
I DONT KNOW IF ITS A PROBLEM BUT I WOULD LOVE TO FIND OUT WHATS GOING ON WITH MY SON.
HE IS TWO MONTHS AND A BIT, IN THE LAST THREE DAYS HE HAS BEEN WAKING UP SUDDENLY WITH A SCREECHING CRY FOR NO APPARENT REASON, WE CANNOT CALM HIM DOWN EASILY BUT WHEN WE DO HE SLEEPS FOR QUITE A WHILE AND HE REGURGITATED SOME OF HIS MILK BUT IT WAS MUCOSY AND A CHOCOLATE BROWN COLOUR, THEN ON THE SECOND DAY OF THIS EPISODE HE HAD A PROJECTILE VOMIT AND VERY DARK GREEN POO, AND SINCE THEN HE HASNT HAD ANOTHER POO. HE DOESNT HAVE A FEVER HE SEEMS A BIT NORMAL BUT HE STILL WAKES FROM HIS SLEEP CRYING A HIGH PITCHED CRY WHICH TO ME DOESNT SOUND VERY NORMAL, HE DIDNT EVEN CRY LIKE THAT AT BIRTH. COULD HE BE ALLERGIC TO HIS MILK WHICH IS NAN1 OR WHAT COULD IT BE. HIS LITTLE EYES DO GO RED ROUND THE EDGES DURING THESE EPISODES.
PLEASE HELP I DO FEEL QUITE USELESS WHEN I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR HIM.COULD IT BE COLIC? BUT HIS TUMMY ISNT HARD AND HE ISNT CONSTANTLY CRYING, BUT THE SCREECHING IS ALL OUT OF THE BLUE AND INCOSOLABLE.
THANK YOU DOC HELP IS APPRECIATED

He may be having colic which is the most likely explanation for this behaviour.I think you need to have him checked by a doctor or nurse and if all is well start him on a colic remedy such as Bennets

Forgot to say it fine for them to vomit more them 10 time a day b'coz they have alot of wind in the stomchs. If he is colic then get gripe water you mix it warm water too. you can also use drops, eg. telament drops or cesranol(natura) its for abdominal cramps and teething plus it used for winds.

one if he/she is getting green poo's it fine if you are feeding them formula. If his/she is having diffcults to poo try sugar water ,but the water must be warm. The crying it might be the truma that he/she went thought birth, they dream it. It depends on if you were in alot of pain or the you took injections during the birth. But it might be also that he/she is getting ready for teething as it starts at 2months tilt the teeth come up. It also can be the injections in the legs of the immunasion that he/she gets 4,10,14 weeks.
