Q.

1yr old eating eggs

Hi doc

we have discovered that my 1yr old who is a fussy eater loves fried eggs. this is the only food that she willingly opens her mounth for. This is the first food that she enjoys and we aare giving her 2 fried eggs for lunch. breakfast (prridge) and dinner (veg) is still a battle.we are now force feeding her otherwise she is happy to starve.

my question is how nutrious are fried eggs? I am thinking of also giving her eggs for dinner as well. is this a good thing?

Force feeding her is so exhausting and we are all miserable about this. She does drink a bottle of milk at night.

she does nibble on viennas and the like.

she now weighs 8.8kg and so tiny. she was diagosed with amenia 2 7 months and is on iron supplement.

Her weight is slightly below the average but is not really a major cause for concern. I don't have to tell you that she should not be eating fried eggs at this stage. She can eat a boiled or scrambled egg and not every day because of the high cholesterol in take. Don't fight with her at meal times. Keep calm and if she won't eat don't force her. She will take what she needs and her appetite will eventually improve.
