Q.

1yr 5months Chicken pox and Eczema

Hi all

Please assist.My son was diagnosed with chicken pox on saturday,i must say he scratches like there is no tomoro and hardly sleeps especially at night.The doc gave us calamine and clarityne(spelling)while he is under treatment on celestamine,ibumol.He is also using advantan cream for eczema and is allergic to dairy products.Please advise if there is any cream that i can buy for the chickenpox and how long must the chicken box last.Is it okay to bath him still?

Do not apply the cortisone cream or give him celestamine while he has chicken pox. This will worsen the illness. Don't bath him while he has the rash. Use the calamine lotion and Panado if he is uncomfortable. The rash will last 3 to 4 days then start clearing up.

Our son, aged 17 developed chicken pocks - quite heavily.

What are the prescribed medication?
