Q.

18 month old had jerks in sleep.

My daughter had a fever last week. Doctor diagnosed throat infection and that was the cause of fever. She jerked in sleep and doctor says its due to fever. She is much better now, fever is gone and the last fever she had was on Thursday. However she is still having jerks in sleep and this causes her not sleeping at night. Called doctor today and he advised me to go to hospital.
How serious is it. Please help.

It is difficult to be able to assist you without being able to examine your little daughter. The original jerking movements may have been due to the fever, but these should not persist like this. It would be best for her to be seen and exmined by a paediatrician.
