18 month old doing strange thing

hi there my 18 month old little girl has started creche now and on saturday did something weird for the first time. She opened her mouth side and put her arms up and went all stiff. she seemed to only do it when in her car seat and then looked at me as if to get a reaction and did it again and laughed. do you think she is ok and is only doing it to get my attention or that she has picked it up at school. she doesn't do it with her dad. please advise what to do

This seems to be attention seaking movements which she has developed. As you say,she seems to find it all a big joke. She also does not do it with her father. It may be a form of behaviour associated with separation anxiety.Just reassure and hug her. If the movements seem to worsen in any way ask your paediatrician to see her.
