16 months old

Hi Doc, my 16 months old boy is so violent, whenever his nanny comes to fetch him he will kick and slap her and sometimes when I play with him he will slap me out of nowhere. I sometimes think his nanny beats him because when am on leave and doesn''t see his nanny he''s a good boy. What r the reasons for a baby so young to be so violent?

It does seem that your little boy has learnt to hit and kick people, especially his nanny. He may well have learnt this behaviour through being slapped or hit before. What is particularly important is that your son is well behaved when his nanny is not there and he is only with you. It may be best to change his minder at this stage or to put your son in a creche.
