Hi Doc

Please advise on my little boy. For the past 5 days he is refusing to drink his bedtime bottle. He take a few sips and in anger he screams, cries and throws his bottle. He eventually falls off to sleep in his dads arms and being tapped to sleep whereas he normally sleeps by himself.

He then wakes up 2 to 3 times at night and refuses his bottle and continues to scream and cry like his having a finger cut off. Eventually he falls asleep after sipping a little milk and we ignore his crying. I am really starting to worry.

I don' t think that he is in any pain because he stops crying and then starts all over again. But then you know better.

Please help us.

Thank you very much.

What I really would have liked to know is your baby's age. This is because he may be teething or he may have pain somewhere particularly in his ears. The most likely cause is teething.

I forgot to mention that he eats well. All of his 3 meals and snacks and bottles (3 x 260ml Nido a day except for the 3rd bottle at bedtime which he refuses)
