13-month-old formula switch

Hi doctor, I have been giving my now 13 months old daughter similac total Comfort since birth and it’s been good to her due to her constipation issues. However, I would like to make a switch to another affordable formula now, I saw the similac advance 3 (blue words) which is more affordable than the similac tc 3 and would like to know on what is the difference between the 2 formulas and if I can make a switch to the advance range? I’m just a bit worried about the constipation resurfacing again with the change and the similac tc is the only formula that cleared the constipation since birth, other brands didn’t help at all. Thanks in advance.

Similac Total Comfort is indeed a good formula. It contains a lower than average level of lactose and usually helps for babies who have some degree of lactose intolerance especially for babies in their early months. Now that your daughter is 13 months, she may well be able to tolerate a normal formula. You can certainly try her on the Similac advance 3 formula now. Hopefully she will tolerate this formula well, but if you see that she becomes constipated (unlikely), she will have to change back to the Similac Total Comfort 3
