10 year old eats baby formula

hi there,
my 10 year old son is very skinny and he just does not eat, he nibbles, he does suffer with spastic colon and used to suffer terribly with stomach pains and he was on morvicol and scopex. he still takes it when he has stomach pains but it is not as bad now. my problem is that he is eating my 8 month old babys formula (novalac ac), is this okay for his stomach? he does not complain or anything but i dont want it to effect him later. thanks

It is important that your son be correctly diagnosed as to the cause of his stomach complaint. I am concerned that he his hardly eating and still has tummy aches at his age. While there is no actual harm in him drinking the Novalac AC, the fact that he has to do so is of concern. Please take your son to be seen by a specialist paediatric gastroeneterologist. These experts usually work in paediatric academic departments, so try to find one closest to where you live.

hi doc,
thanks for the response, but he does not drink it , he eats it with a spoon (dry).......
he went to a gastrologist and he said that his bowel is enlarged and that is why he had a problem with just messing his pants without him actually realising it, he gave him something to clear his bowel and it worked and his cramps disappeared but i am just a bit worried with him eating formula.
