It is interesting that you have these symptoms on the same side of your previous pneumonectomy. I suggest you visit a thoracic surgeon or pulmonologist just to make sure that the two are not related. There is a large dome-shaped muscle that separates the chest from the abdominal cavity and sometimes things can migrate between the compartments. Alternatively, it could be an intercostal muscle tear or injury, or even possibly related to nerve route compression. Best to have it checked out.
