Nightime allergies flares

Good day. I seem to manage ok during the day with my perennial rhinitis, just blowing now and then. But nights are, well, a nightmare. From about 1am onwards I find I cannot breathe, kept awake by the terrible combination of a very blocked nose (although runny mucous escapes) and very itchy inner ears (necessitating relief with an earbud). I do take the likes of Deselex and Allergex, admittedly sometimes doubling the dose to try and get relief but all that happens they make me sleepy. I eventually fall back asleep still with the blocked nose and severe itchiness. I have hypoallergenic bedding, no carpets or fluffy things in my room and good ventilation. I still suffer horribly. What can I do/take to at least get through the night without waking up for up to three hours at a time? I start each day bleary-eyed and exhausted from literally waging a fight throughout the night. My linen apart from being hypoallergenic is regularly washed in hot water. Is there something exceptionally strong I can take before bedtime, something I can take it for life? I want something that will not compromise my health yet is effective. My struggles are real and I am single for years now because there is no sleeping next to anyone with this issue, I am just too embarrassed what with the sniffing, itching and trumpet-like blowing. Desperate for help, thanks.

With the COVID-19 Pandemic Lock Down, we are all spending more time at home and indoors. This will make House Dust Mite and Pet Allergic Rhinitis worse and difficult to control. It is best to get yourself allergy tested for dust mites, tree pollen, mould spores and pet allergies. Then one can make an educated decision on how to treat you, which might include steroid nose drops or even desensitisation immunotherapy.
