Eating tomatoes can dramatically reduce the risk of having a stroke, according to a new study that provided more support for diets rich in fruits and vegetables.

"This study adds to the evidence that a diet high in fruits and vegetables is associated with a lower risk of stroke," emphasised study author Jouni Karppi, of the University of Eastern Finland in Kuopio.
