Apologies for the delay in answering your question but my emails have been interfered with. Your problem sounds quite serious and it may be that you need professional help to get off the tablets. Sometimes it is possible to get off them quite easily but it is important that your sleep problem is properly diagnosed as this may be the reason why you cannot get off the tablets. If there is an underlying organic sleep disorder it will be extremely difficult to get off the tablets. Ask your GP to refer you to the nearest sleep disorder specialist
