Q.

Sinus and hoarse voice

Good day dr I'm female and have a problem with a hoarse voice - so much so that people think I am male when talking to me on the phone. I did see an ENT who did an examination and scope and said I have a severe sinus drip that is affecting my vocal chords and prescribed antihistamines and nasal spray that I have been using for about two years now - just the dosage/regularity of use changed (as per my dr). My voice still gets hoarse and goes away while I'm speaking from time to time and it is extremely frustrating. At this point I'm actually taking my medicines less frequently as I feel it is not helping the issue or actually making my sinus worse. I'm also clearing my throat a lot still. What else can be done for this problem or do I just need to keep taking the medications and hope for the best? Thank you for your answer.
