Q.

Sinus ache and teeth ache for 7 months

I live in a new construction house since June 2019. A couple months after we moved in I thought I had a cold coming on. Sinus ache, nose running clear. and eyes itchy. It somewhat cleared up shortly but sinus ache and Teeth ache(upper and lower) followed. I have had both problems since. They lighten up some times. Nose runs some times(always clear) and sinuses are usually completely clear for breathing. but once in a while the stuff up. Dentist ruled out teeth problem although he said I had a small amount of infection under a back molar. I had a MRI of my sinuses done but my return visit to discuss was canceled due to 19. Any ideas?? THANKS

Usually we do an allergy test and a nasal scope. CT sinuses gives more detail than MRI. I would discuss the MRI results telephonically with your doctor. Usually chronic sinusitis is treated with a nasal steroid spray , with surgery reserved for residual non resolving symptoms.
