Q.

I went to GSH ENT and was told that my deviated septum and septal perforation cannot cause the symptoms I have been experiencing )

(fatigue, headache, facial fullness, earaches, body pain, crusting) and was given Flixonase Nasules to use to get rid of the crusting in my right nostril. These have helped my symptoms substantially, but I am just wondering at the cost of R600 per month for these monthly, should my septum note be straightened. My CT scan was clear.

A deviated septum and septal perforation can cause impaired nasal airflow and crusting/bleeding. The other symptoms may be due to allergy, which is why the nasules helped. You could convert to a cheaper nasal steroid spray. A septoplasty with a septal perf repair would help but you might still need to use a spray afterwards.
