Q.

Difference between chronic inflammation/infections

My understanding of chronic sinusitis is it can be chronic inflammation of the sinuses or chronic infections. Inflammation would be as a result of a structural abnormality, polyp formation or allergies. I have chronic sinusitis where my sinuses dont drain so the pressure builds up causing pain and obstruction. My mucous is hard. Also have deviated septum with septal perforation causing severe crusting and blockage. I am at my wits end. I cannot afford private ENT or operation. GSH were most unhelpful last June

I answered your other question. You should see a private ENT or go back to GSH if you can’t afford it. You need a scope and a CT scan.
