Hi there

Scheuermanns disease is usually a hereditary disorder that can cause kyphosis of the upper spine. Backpain is common and it varies in severity with the majority of cases not needing any intervention. Bulging of the discs can be due to a variety of reasons with degeneration ( wear and tear) the most common cause. This can also cause back pain and your doctor can suggest the most appropriate course of action, be it anti-inflammatory drugs, physiotherapy, surgery etc. Discuss this with your doctor who can then refer you to a neurosurgeon if need be
Hope this helps!
