Laser whitening

Hi Dr, Hope you can help, last week Wednesday I had laser whitening on my teeth, now my front tooth had a filling in already. Come Friday Afternoon I'm in excruciating pain, suffer all through the weekend got appointment with dentist. She said she can only do a root canal she cant do anything with the tooth yet, this tooth was not a problem before, now I'm in pain all the way on my bottom jaw and top jaw. Could the laser whitening have caused this?

Whitening does cause pain often. However if not settled withing a week, then further investigation is needed. I would give it a few days to settle.
