Q.

I burnt my tongue

Dear Sir/Madam, I burnt my tongue about one month ago, I went to the doctor and he advised me to take the following medicines: 1- Floxin 500 mg (Ofloxacin) antibiotic. 2- Povidone (Vidone 7.5% Gargle Mouth Wash) for two weeks. 3- B complex vitamins. 4-Honey. I took 12 tablets of Floxin, and then I stopped the dose because I had some side effects. My tongue is healing but the tip still has dark red color. When will my tongue heal completely? When does the color of my tongue's tip become normal? Thank you very much, Best regards, Samer

The colour took take a while to return to normal depending on the severity of the burn. My advice would also be to do a follow up with the dr who initially treated you. He/she would be able to assess whether the healing is progressing well.
