Middle-aged women who are overweight may have yet another motivation to take off those excess pounds: The more a postmenopausal woman weighs, the worse her memory, researchers have found.

Middle-aged women who are overweight may have yet another motivation to take off those excess pounds: The more a postmenopausal woman weighs, the worse her memory, researchers have found.

The study, which was based on data from nearly 9 000 women who were enrolled in the Women's Health Initiative, a large government-sponsored study of postmenopausal women, was released in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.
