US removes ‘STD cure’ from drugstores

The US government said it is launching an effort to remove a host of drugstore products that promise to cure HIV, herpes, chlamydia and other sexually transmitted diseases.

The US government said it is launching an effort to remove from the market a host of drugstore products that promise to cure HIV, herpes, chlamydia and other sexually transmitted diseases.

"Consumers who buy these products may not seek the medical attention they need and could spread infections to sexual partners."
