Q.

Frequent urination

Can only a significant enlargement of the prostate cause frequent urination or can a small enlargement of the prostate also cause frequent urination? How common is microscopic blood in the urine a symptom of an BPH?

Dear Geoff

There are many possible causes of frequent urination. A urological assessment will exclude a variety of conditions.
Microscopic blood in the urine due to BPH is usually a diagnosis of exclusion. i.e. Other more serious causes need to be excluded first.
Kind regards
Prenevin
