Q.

cystoscopy

Good day I want to know I had 2 cystoscopies done before a TVT sling placement, 6 months after the tvt I had a voiding scan as I am unable to empty my bladder in full, since then I have bladder diverticulum, bladder reflux are on self catherisation..If I had these problems before the sling would the cystoscopy detect that? Or would it be from the tvt mesh thats actually when all my problems started

Dear Pam

It is hard to comment without having all the details available to me.
Reflux is usually not detected on cystoscopy. A diverticulum would ususally be seen on cystoscopy.
The TVT procedure may have played a role in your troubles, especially if they were not present prior to the procedure.
Kind regards
