Recurring UTI's

Good day Dr I get recurring UTI's every second week. My urologist did a cystoscopy in November 2018, it didn't help. I am now on Macrodantin which I must use for 6 months. Using it for 4 weeks now. Was prescribed Urizone and Urispas last week and should use with the Macrodantin. This morning I went for a urine test and they found leukocytes and blood again. I'm at my wits' end. The urologist did mention that my right kidney's 'pipes' are faced the wrong way and that he'll have to fix it but that it's a rather big surgery. Please advise what I should do next. This is very uncomfortable. Urine was sent away this morning for a culture test.

Dear Marlize

I'm sorry you're struggling.
Your Urologist seems to be doing all the correct things.
I would wait for the culture, and then communicate again with your Urologist.
There are other things that can be added, but would discuss it with your Urologist first.
Kind regards
