Q.

Are recurring UTI's associated with the TVT sling.

If so how can they be treated? Klebsiella sps is not been resolved with Augmentin and I am on third (100mg x2 x 7 days) course in two months. I do not want to live on antibiotics. UTI was silent - I didnt know I had it until I was tested - except for tiredness, smell of urine. Can UTI's be left untreated. Will it resolve itself?

Dear Anne

UTI's are not ordinarily associated with a TVT, but there are some basic investigations that need to be done in your case. These include an ultrasound of your kidneys and bladder, as well as a diagnostic cystoscopy.
I would suggest an appointment with your Urologist.
Kind regards
Prenevin
