Q.

BP fluctuating on medication

Diagnosed with hypertension two years ago (successfully controlled with Prexum). Last year BP spiked to 173/104, HR 121 - admitted to ICU, diagnosed with anxiety and treated. BP continues to be a problem even on meds (Coveram & Prexum). I wake up with a BP of 148/113 which fluctuates wildly during the day. Treating physician says I should relax, however I don't understand waking up from a night's sleep with such elevated BP? Your opinion or advice on which type of doctor I should consult would be highly appreciated.
