Q.

Soft Voice

I know this is more a hearing forum so pls forgive me if this is in the wrong area.

I am a 20 year old male and my voice is quite soft. If i try talk loudly my voice goes all funny... If i shout very loudly my voice goes very very deep and just doesnt sound right. It seems as if i just cant talk on the middle volume where im talking loud but not shouting.

What can this be and how can i fix this?

Thanks

Dear Charlie

You are at the right forum, i am an audiologist and speech therapist. I would advise you to go and see a speech therapist, that focusses on voice problems. Please let me know in which area you live an i will gladly refer you (izabelle@widex.co.za). It sound like it is something that is very treatable but it would be better to go for a full evaluation

Looking forward to hearing from you
Kind regards
Izabelle Pieterse
