Inner Ear Infection?

Good Morning,

I recently lay down and all of a sudden I began getting dizzy and the room started turning, when got up I was ine again. I went to the doctor and was told I had an inner ear infection. I was put onto antibiotics and then a second course when it never cleared. It was then fine for about a 6 weeks. I now woke up this morning dizzy while lying down and I' m light headed. How do I know if I must go to the doctor. Can I fight off an inner ear infection without antibiotics? Thank you kindly

Dear Jason

If you are still experiencing symptoms then you need to get back to the doctor. It might be advisable to rather see an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. I would also recommend that you see an Audiologist that has the equipment to specifically evaluate balance disorders. If you don't know of someone in your area, then please let me know and i will gladly refer you.

Let me know if you require any further information.

Kind regards
Izabelle Pieterse

Thanks Izabelle I appreciate the advice. I have thankfully managed to overcome it. If it persists I will do as you say. Have a great weekend
