Q.

Ear Infection 7 month old

When we took my daughter to the paediatrician we where told she has a inner ear infection and we where given natural spray and drops to use to try sort it out, and have to go back in two weeks time if its not clear we have to go on to antibiotics cortisone. Yesterday I see there is alot of yellow wax coming out the ear, is this normal from the spary and drops or do you think I should change the appointment earlier? She is pulling on her ear but not crying at all. I just dont want to leave it to long and then she has problems hearing.
Thank you

Dear Sally
There is a possibility that the infection in the middle ear has gotten worse and in that case i will advise you to move the appointment sooner. The other possibility is that the drops might have soften wax in the ear canal and that might be what you are seeing.

It is best to have it seen to if you feel concerned
