Q.

Crunching noise in ear

Hi,

If i hear certain loud noises or gently flick my right ear, I hear a crunching noise - almost like something is moving in my ear.

Do you have any idea what this could be?

Dear Geoff

There are several possibilities for what you are experiencing and unfortunately i won't be able to tell you what the problem is without an evaluation. The best is to start with a visit to your GP, he/she will refer you for further evaluation in necessary. It will also be advisable to see an Audiologist once you have been to your doctor so that one can perform a hearing evaluation.

Please let me know if you need a referral to someone in your area and i will gladly give you the detail (izabelle@widex.co.za)

Kind regards
Izabelle Pieterse
