Hi Nel

It sounds like your mom must be getting quite frustrated!

It sounds like she may need to consult with an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist to first rule out any medical issues as a cause. He or she may then send your mom to an audiologist to rule out any hearing loss or to help her with any remaining buzzing/imbalance.

Good luck!

Hello, I have battled ringing/noise in my ears for nearly a year. Been looking into this and it is apparently called tinnitus, for which there is no known cure. Do you have any recommendations for ENT specialists in JHB which are government institutions?
