Dear Anno

If you have already seen your GP and the pharmacist, and the problem is persisting, i think the next step is to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and make sure that everything is in order. If you don't know of someone in your area, please let me know and i will gladly refer you (izabelle@widex.co.za). There are several possibilities for what you are experiencing, and we need to get to the root of it.

Kind regards
Izabelle Pieterse

I had a stapendectomy 2 years ago. Apparently it was succesful but since then I have tinnitus and my ears are always blocking and unblocking and poppint. Recently when I sleep on one side and then turn over to the other, it feels as though the inside of my head takes its time to follow, I suppose this could be described as dizzyness, does not last for long. If I block my ear with my finger and press hard it is fine for a few seconds, but then blocks and pops again. I am finding it difficult to hear well. I recently went to an ent and did a test for the eustachian tube, probable blockage, but it was good. He then gave me a nasal spray and an antihistamine to take every night. After a week the problem still persists.
