I always hear high frequency noise in my left ear?

Let me tell you how it started so you can actually tell what it is. It all started almost three months ago when i was wearing headphones volume was loud. I used them for almost three hours. Everything is was normal. But when I unplugged it. I feel pain in my left ear (all ear) for 1–2 days. I discussed pharmacist he said it's may be because if earwax. He gave me earwax drops. I used for three days and everything was okay. After a week my hear started to feel dry and some dry things produce in ear on regular basis. I didn't care much. I everyday make it clean with my finger etc. Sometimes i felt a yellow green fluid is coming with them. I remember, 4–5 tines when I take bath water alsi goes in ears. After 2 months i felt something is blocking my ear. And I started hearing this noise (like when gass is leaking, or high frequency noise, or when air is passing through something) I contacted two doctors they both said it's earwax. You've to soft it down and we will clean it. Two days ago after using earwax drops. I went to hospital to remove earwax. A new doctor was there. I told him. He used his sucker to remove earwax. After removing he used cotton to clean my ear and said how old is this problem? I think it's old problem? See this fluid is coming out of your ear? (When he cleans with cotton) I said 2–3 months old but everybody said it's earwax. He said, they didn't diagnosed it well. I think you've hole in ear. I am really very worried about it. My hearing is all good but this noise is disturbing me. He said it will take 2–3 months to be OK if i care. He gave me some tablets and mouth spray and said come after 7 days. He said clean ear 3 times a day. But i have nothing to clean. When i put cotton in ear it's feeling everything is dry in it. Please guide me. I'll be very thankful. M i getting back to normal?

Thanks for your question

It sounds like you really have been battling with your left ear for a while!

I am so glad that you went to a doctor who actually had a look in your ear, physically removed the wax that was there and was then able to see your eardrum.  Often if earwax has been blocking one's ear for a while there can be an infection of some sort behind it.

I would definitely recommend that you follow the doctor's instructions and return to see him after the 7 days have passed.  Holes in the eardrum can sometimes heal by themselves.  If it doesn't, you may need to see an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, but don't worry, your doctor should be able to tell you if this is necessary or not. In the meantime, I would be very careful not to insert anything too deep into your ear and I would also make sure that water does not get into your ear.  Bath rather than shower and try to avoid swimming.  If you have to get your head wet then get some earplugs that seal your ear canal so that no water can get to your eardrum.

Good luck!
