If you have a history of noise exposure, diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, stress and anxiety, head / neck / back problems then these can all cause tinnitus (buzzing in the ears).
I would start with a hearing test as this is usually the cause of tinnitus. If your hearing is perfectly fine, then i would recommend that you see your doctor to assess your general health.
If your hearing shows a hearing loss, then a hearing aid may be warranted.
