Q.

Hi doc I'm hiv + and I'm breasdfeeding my new baby of 3days, i wanna change him to formular exclusively couse I'm not comfortable by breastfeeding him, can that be a problem to him I'm scared really,

and worse my family doesn't know about my status so they wanna give him water, if he's on formular how safe is it to give water?

Switching to formula is not a problem. The problem is mixed feeding. Once you switch to formula then stick to it. Baby does not need water because if you mix the formula correctly then all of baby's nutritional needs will be met
